If you have a few minutes, please read over the FAQ which we hope will help to clarify the strengths of the letterpress impression.
We see many designs, which quite reasonably, reflect contemporary culture with strong saturated color and bold coverage across the surface of the paper. However, letterpress, of course, is a technology from the past, really, and its capabilities are rather of a different domain - more subtle colors, with limitations on ink coverage in many cases, but crisp, perfect typography and unmistakable texture and dimension.
"Slow Print" means we typically spend more time proofing and fine-tuning than it takes to actually print the job. To produce exquisite printing requires more than just a press, a plate and ink. It requires an absolute commitment to spending the time required to adjust the ink, the rollers, the impression for each job. Like "Slow Food", we start with the best ingredients available, and we take the time to do it right!
And it doesn't cost as much as
you'd think!

The Projekt logogram was hit twice on press. After running the whole card, we stripped the plate, leaving only the logogram, and sent the whole stack back through the Windmill! Don't try this on any other press!
