Almost Free Letterpress!

Here's the process, which you'll step through in just two screens, ending up with a complete estimate or order for your cards!

First, how many cards do you want? (More cards means each card is cheaper!) We now have a 500 card minimum, since the cost of setup makes less cards nearly as expensive! We now offer cards printed on both sides for a flat $125 (one color) or $150 (two-color) addtional. The same ink colors will be used for both sides.

Second, choose a special color if you like, our top five color choices are now free! And now, you can add a second color to any job for a flat $135!

Third, you can upgrade your paper choice to one of our gorgeous fine-art letterpress papers! Our house paper stock is Strathmore Writing Soft White 110# (300gsm). We now have a 500 card minimum on all stocks, but have lowered the price for the paper upgrades! 1000 or more cards will be your best deal, as the price per card comes down dramatically.

Fourth, you can choose Expedited Service for next week service! Standard delivery is two-to-three weeks for orders over US$200.

You can now upgrade to any one our top five Pantone® Base colors for free!

Other Pantone and custom mixes are subject to a moderate additional flat rate of $35.

  • Please refer to a printed Pantone™ Matching System (Uncoated Matte) swatchbook for accurate color samples.

  • Printed ink color will very likely not be as saturated or brilliant as swatches, due to the nature of letterpress printing. If you need highly saturated color, talk to us.

  • Also, note that letterpress is best with type and line-art. Solid coverage is problematic... we will let you know if we have concerns regarding the printing of your design.

Upgrade your paper Stock!

Bugra, dual sided cover

Upgrade to Crane Lettra, or one of our beautiful European printmaking papers. We now have a 500 card minimum on all stocks, but have lowered the prices for the paper upgrades! You may want to order our Exquisite Papers Sampler if you're not familiar with these sheets.

Although Almost Free™ cards offer only one printed side, the Bugra duplex papers provide 22 color options for the back of the card! We can also special order the Copperplate Etching duplexed with Bugra.

The Hahnemuhle imported etching papers are softer and less stiff than the Lettra in the equivalent weight.

  • Strathmore 110# Writing Cover (Soft White)

  • Crane's Lettra 300 gsm (Bright, Pearl or Ecru (Antique Ivory) White)

  • Crane's Lettra 600gsm (very heavy, luxurious card)

  • Copperplate (Bright or Warm White) or German Etching (Antique Ivory) Paper 300gsm

  • Copperplate or German Etching Paper 600gsm

  • Hahnemuhle Bugra Duplex (260gsm, many color options) Special order! Please note your color choices below.

  • Hahnemuhle Bugra Triplex (390gsm, many color options) Special order! Please note your color choices below. Triplex will be two layers of the 'top' color with one layer of the 'bottom' color

Choose a Card Format

  • Standard is 2 x 3.5 inches (51x89 mm). EU format (55 x 85 mm)

  • Other sizes, bleeds, tight registration, close cropping, add $75 for additional set-up

  • Card dimensions may not be greater than 3.54" (90mm) or less than 1.75" (45mm)

  • Aspect ratio (width/height) must be between 1.42 to 1.8

You can help organize our schedule by bribing the production manager. This is a 'best effort' service, and our only guarantee is that we will refund the rush charge if we are unable to deliver on the expedited schedule. Orders of $200 and over get 2-3 week service as standard. Expedited service surcharge does not include express shipping.

Standard Shipping is FREE on orders over US$250! Shipping and Handling fees are additional. We generally ship either UPS Ground or FedEx. International is "Best Way". Standard International may take three or four weeks to arrive. Customs and other charges are not included!
