by Peter Fraterdeus last modified 2008-11-29 15:57
Almost Free Letterpress!

Here's the process, which you'll step through in a few screens, ending up with a complete order, and a link to PayPal, where you can pay for the order!

First, how many cards do you want? (More cards means each card is cheaper!)

Second, choose a special color if you like!

Third, you can upgrade your paper choice to one of our gorgeous fine-art letterpress papers!

Fourth, you can choose Expedited Service for next week service! Standard delivery is four-to-six weeks.

Order Details
(Required)
Select how many cards you want.
Note that your 'per card' price drops quite a lot when you order more at one time!
The cost shown is the base price. Other choices below will affect the final total!

Choose a different ink color!

 Pantone® Base Colors

You can choose any one of the Pantone® Base colors instead of Black for an extra $45. (up to 2000 cards)

  • Please refer to a printed Pantone™ Matching System (Uncoated Matte) swatchbook for accurate color samples.

  • Printed ink color will very likely not be as saturated or brilliant as swatches, due to the nature of letterpress printing. If you need highly saturated color, talk to us.

  • Also, note that letterpress is best with type and line-art. Solid coverage is problematic... we will let you know if we have concerns regarding the printing of your design.

  • We can mix custom Pantone colors for $75. (Some limitations apply)

(Required)

Upgrade your paper Stock!

Bugra, dual sided cover

Upgrade to Crane Lettra, or one of our beautiful European printmaking papers.

  • Crane's Lettra 300 gsm (Bright, Pearl or Ecru White) for $45 extra (add $65 for 500, $95 for 1000)

  • Crane's Lettra 600gsm (very heavy, stiff card) - 500 minimum (add $145 for 500, $285 for 1000)

  • Copperplate Etching or German Etching Paper 300gsm - 500 card minimum (add $95 for 500, $165 for 1000)

  • Copperplate Etching 600gsm - 500 minimum (add $165 for 500, $295 for 1000)

  • Hahnemuhle Bugra Duplex (260gsm, many color options) 1000 minimum for Duplex, which requires a special order!

(add $175 for 1000) Please note your color choices below.

(Required)
Note that there's a *500 card minimum* on all stocks except the Bristol or Crane Lettra 300 gsm.
*1000 card minimum* on the Bugra Duplex
If you're ordering the Duplex, choose the color for the front of your card. We recommend the lighter tones for the front. Letterpress inks are not opaque enough to cover dark papers.
If you're ordering the Duplex, choose the color for the back of your card.

Choose a Card Format

  • Standard is 2 x 3.5 inches (51x89 mm). EU format (55 x 85 mm)

  • Other sizes add $65 for additional set-up

  • Card dimensions may not be longer than 3.54" (90mm) or shorter than 1.75" (45mm)

  • Aspect ratio (width/height) must be between 1.42 to 1.8

You can help organize our schedule by bribing the production manager. Expedited service surcharge does not include express shipping, typically about $25.
We'll knock 5-10% off the total (before S&H) to entice you to help us market Almost Free Letterpress! (5% discount on less than 1000 cards, 10% on 1000 or more)
We imprint a small tag-line on the back of the card, along with a special code. If someone uses your code to order cards, they'll also get 5% off!
We think it's actually pretty cool, certainly unique, and again, you'll be helping high-quality letterpress survive!
(Required)
