These designs were completed to show at the "Letters Mingle Souls" 2008 Calligraphy Conference in Chicago (Naperville)
"Accentuate the Positive": These cards highlight the idea of "negative space", the space around, between and inside the letterforms. By defining these 'complementary' shapes, the letters themselves jump forward. In fact due to the letterpress impression, the 'positive' space is effectively raised above the backgrounds!
